ONE WORD ONE IDEA
One Word One Idea is a project where patrons can submit a word, and I paint a 6-inch by 6-inch multimedia painting illustrating their word. They may tell me a story if they wish, explaining what the word means to them; they can suggest what kinds of colors they'd like to see, but the "one word one idea" is meant to be figurative, not literal, and the final illustration is subject to the artist's interpretation.

STUDIO 1219
Studio 1219 is the largest public art facility, in Michigan's Thumb Region, offering more than 8,000 square feet of space. It features a fine art gallery, a pottery studio gallery gift shop, solo artist gallery and open space for classes. They host four special events a year to raise funds to support Studio 1219’s general operations. I volunteer for two events. The Art Roam which is held in May annually, and (my personal favorite) Women's Month where the Studio sports a big pink bra!
