What is your Fantasy?
Like a genie, I’m going to be granting three wishes. The million dollar question is, “What is your fantasy?” Want to hang out with Elvis? Be an Avatar? Hang out with the Zombies from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video? The possibilities are endless, and I can make it happen! …Well, in the wonderful world of Photoshop anyway.
Take time to consider carefully, because I’m going to make three people’s dreams come true, based on how creative they are, so challenge me! If you can’t think of something for yourself, consider a friend or family member that would like a Photoshop fantasy-come-true.
Your chances of being selected increase if you have a Facebook or Myspace with a wide selection of photos for me to choose from. If not, don’t be discouraged! I’ll contact you if you are selected, and you can e-mail me some glamour shots. Be advised, though, I will need at least 7 to choose from.
If you need some ideas for your fantasy, click here, but don’t feel limited to these examples. Go crazy! TO ENTER: e-mail me your idea, and if you have one, a link to your facebook or myspace. |

Those Tiny Things Can Make a Difference
Business cards are a pretty standard marketing tool for any business, but there are opportunities for someone to stand out that most people don’t consider. They assume having the basics is enough, but I’m a firm believer in maximizing all forms of marketing, even something as simple as business cards. I have a client that has tiny business cards, no bigger than your thumb. Another client has square business cards. Size and shape seems trivial, but that small difference gets attention. Contact me, and see what I can do for you!

My Birthday Massage
Not too long ago I turned… older (and we’ll leave it at that). I told my husband all I wanted for my birthday was a massage. If I were rich, I’m positive I’d be a spa junkie, but alas, luxuries like massages are reserved for special occasions.
The day before my birthday, my husband informed me I had an appointment with a massage therapist he works with. The wonderful Breanna Kuta and I were previously acquainted, so I was pretty excited about the whole thing. Admittedly, I was skeptical because one of the things I like best about massages is the Zen setting: candles, ambient music, etc., and she currently works out of her house. I wondered what the atmosphere would be like.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a devoted space to her craft, and the atmosphere was just like other spas I’d been to. The whole experience was very pleasant, and did I happen to mention Bre is AMAZING at what she does? I floated home.

Bre received her certificate and Associate’s degree in Health Science from Baker College. She has been professionally practicing for a little over 3 1/2 years. She can be reached by e-mailing bremt7@gmail.com. Besides her marvelous skills, Bre is professional, warm, and has a way of making people feel comfortable and relaxed. In short, she rocks! E-mail her today!

Wild or Domestic:
Let’s Save Them All
I believe charity is an important virtue. I don’t believe one cause is any more important than another. As long as we are giving to those that are truly in need, we are fulfilling our neighborly duty.
Neighbors aren’t just people, though. They are every living thing on this planet. One of the causes I believe in passionately is the conservation of wildlife. Lately, I’ve be entranced by the animal kingdom. Hours of my life are spent watching animal documentaries, especially about lions, because of their unique social structure. Did you know that 50 years ago there were over 450,000 lions in the wild, and now there are about 25,000?! Our big cat neighbors desperately need our help. Want to learn more? Go to: www.causeanuproar.com
If you prefer to keep your donations closer to home, consider Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. This place is especially unique in that they believe every animal is adoptable. The #1 reason people dump their pets off on already crowded animal shelters is inappropriate elimination (you know, like tinkling on the carpet). Because most animal shelters consider these animals unadoptable, they are promptly euthanized.
Best Friends spares no expense preparing pets for adoption. This includes medical care, behavioral training, and if an animal is never adopted, despite rigorous retraining, they will have a home at Best Friends indefinitely. I became aware of Best Friends through a series called Dogtown. The series focuses on their efforts with dogs, but Best Friends also care for cats, horses, and birds, among others. They’re an amazing organization, so if you’d like to learn more or donate, visit www.bestfriends.org. |
